Easley solider wounded in Afghanistan dies in Germany

WARDAK PROVINCE, AFGHANISTAN (WACH) - A South Carolina native has died in the line of duty supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
The Department of Defense announced Monday that Pfc. Barrett L. Austin, 20, of Easley died in Germany on Sunday from injuries he suffered when his vehicle was hit by an imporvised explosive device in Afghanistan on April 17.
Barrett was assigned to the 4th Brigade Special Troops Batallion, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Ga.
