Family of American Idol's Candice Glover excited about the competition

It is down to the wire for American Idol hopefuls Wednesday night. The remaining three contestants will sing for a chance to become the next American Idol.

COLUMBIA (WACH) - It is down to the wire for American Idol hopefuls Wednesday night. The remaining three contestants will sing for a chance to become the next American Idol.

Recently, each of the top three contestants had a chance to spend a quick moment with family and friends.

Janet Parker had the chance to visit with one of the contestants, Candice Glover, and her family in Beaufort, South Carolina last Saturday.

"To see Candice up there, I'm just like, Oh my God that's my daughter. You know, I'm just so excited," said Carol Glover, Candice's mom.

Carol says she didn't know Candice would make it this far.

"I thought it would just be something like, you know, she's trying out, and she's going to go to Hollywood," said Glover. "I just can't believe this, it's so amazing."

One person trying to make sure Candice doesn't just make it to Hollywood, but all the way to the top is her aunt.

"She has this anointed voice, and she is our next American Idol," said the supportive aunt, who keeps tabs on every vote she has cast for Candice in a journal. She has voted 1,602 times this season.

Candice's brothers and sisters watch their sibling perform each week.

"We really miss her, and we love her," said Shaquoya Glover, Candice's sister. "I'm praying that she will go far, and I know that she will go far. I'm really happy for her."

Candice hopes to go far as well, but there is no doubt where her heart really is.

"I really miss being around my family and arguing and wrestling with my brothers and my sisters, and going shopping and doing all of those family oriented things like dinner at night and watching movies, "said Candice. "I just miss that warmth you get from your family."

This is Candice's third try on the show. She also gave it a shot in 2009 and 2011.

Wednesday night Candice, Angie Miller and Kree Harrison will perform three numbers each: a judges' choice, a personal choice and a song selected by Jimmy Iovine. Thursday night, the ladies will learn who has been voted through to the top two.
