Five charged with string of armed robberies in Richland County

COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) – Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott has announced the arrests of five men for various counts of armed robberies and kidnappings.

Tavis Bethel, Izaha Holmes, Javon Sims, Javari Ward and Alan Keondre Wright have all been charged with the string of armed robberies.

Deputies first responded to an armed robbery at the Corner Pantry at 91 Clemson Rd. around 11:40 p.m. Sunday, March 11. The suspects entered the store with handguns and stole money and cigars.

Deputies were then sent to another armed robbery just an hour later that same night at the BP Gas Station in the 8400 block of Two Notch Rd. In that incident, the suspects wore bandanas and forced the clerk standing outside back inside and stole more money and cigars.

The third armed robbery happened Monday, March 12 around 11:30 p.m. when deputies responded to an armed robbery call at the Circle K on Longtown Rd. The suspects again wore bandanas and stole money and cigars.

The final armed robbery was on Tuesday, March 13 around 5 p.m. at the Q Computer Solutions in the 8800 block of Two Notch Rd. The suspects forced the victims into a back room and then stole money and MacBook’s.
