Five Points Foundation $50,000 to local non-profits and charities

COLUMBIA (WACH) â?? The Five Points Foundation awarded $50,000 to over 25 charities and non-profit organizations in the midlands from revenue generated from the 32nd Annual St. Patâ??s in Five Points.

The St. Patâ??s Committee is proud to share that this yearâ??s festival saw great success, welcoming over 40,000 patrons into Columbiaâ??s oldest entertainment district to celebrate all things Irish.

The continued success of St Patâ??s in Five Points has allowed for nearly $1 million to benefit local charities over the celebrationâ??s 32 year history.

Some recipients of the award include Camp KEMO, City Year Columbia, USC Upward bound, and Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands.

The St. Patâ??s in Five Points festival creates a $6 million economic impact on the city of Columbia each year. Funds are used for beautification projects, security cameras, marketing and promotions and organizing and hosting free events for the community.
