COLUMBIA (WACH)- The outcome of Saturday's game wasn't the biggest surprise for the Faile family of the Lancaster County town of Kershaw.
About 20 minutes before game time to Faile family from Kershaw, South Carolina, was the Columbia Metropolitan Airport Military Family of the Game, set to be recognized on the field.
Their first surprise was a message to them from their dad/husband, Sergeant First Class Scott Faile, playing on the video board, followed by an even bigger surprise.
Their biggest surprise was when Scott Faile walked out on the field to greet his wife & children in front of nearly ninety thousand cheering fans.
Faile's wife gained more yards than Georgia's running backs as she rushed to husband's waiting arms.
In fact, the score wasn't a surprise to Sgt. Faile at all. His prediction was 35-7, which did indeed turn out to be the final.
