      Forest Acres City Council elections are Tuesday

      The city will elect two council member from a field of six candidates.

      FOREST ACRES, SC (WACH) -- Tuesday is election day for those who live in Forest Acres.

      The city will elect two council member from a field of six candidates.

      Candidates in the nonpartisan election are Shell Suber, Ralph Bailey, Jack Cantey, Albert Epstein, Paige George and Beau Powell.

      Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

      Forty-year council veteran Suber is seeking re-election.

      The other seat open was held by the late Charlie Fetner for 35 years before he retired this spring. He died last week.

      This will be one of the first elections in the state since South Carolina's new Voter ID Law went into effect this year.

      Voting locations include:

      - Cooper and East Forest Acres precincts - Brockman School, 2245 Montclair Drive

      - Keenan and North Forest Acres precincts - Trenholm Park, 3900 Covenant Road

      - Gregg Park and South Forest Acres precincts - Crayton Middle School, 5000 Clemson Ave.

      - Arcadia, Oakwood, Trenholm Road and Satchelford precincts - Satchel Ford Elementary School, 5901 Satchelford Road

      Voters need to bring a voter registration card or picture ID.
