Former Destiny's Child member arrested on the Grand Strand

Farrah Franklin

HORRY COUNTY (WACH/WPDE) -- Farrah Franklin, 33, a member of Destiny's Child for five months in 2000, was arrested Saturday in Horry County, according to the J. Reuben Long Detention Center's website.

The site shows she was booked at 4:55am on a Disorderly Conduct charge.

Franklin was released several hours later after posting $280 bond. Court records listed no attorney for her, and no details of her arrest were immediately available.

Franklin and Michelle Williams joined Destiny's Child to replace two original members in 2000. Franklin left the group months later, and the remaining trio served to launch the solo careers of Williams, Kelly Rowland and Beyonce'.
