Former Gamecock Miles shot in possible robbery

IRMO, SC (WACH)- According to the Richland County Sheriff's Department, former USC running back Kenny Miles was shot near an Irmo business park Monday.

Richland County spokesperson Sgt. Curtis Wilson said Miles has been upgrated to stable condition, after first being reported in critical condition at a local hospital. The former running back was able to give police some information on the way to the hospital. Wilson said deputies are still searching for a suspect.

Wilson said at about 1:00 p.m. Miles showed up at the office complex off of Kinly Road and Centrum Drive while a robbery was in progress. Investigators believe the suspect in that robbery shot Miles.
