FORT JACKSON (WACH) -- The nation's largest Army training base has raised its Force Protection level in the midst of the announcement of Osama bin Laden's death.
Fort Jackson officials say the level was raised to Bravo Sunday. That's the second of five levels.
The army says it will take extra time getting into the base especially during high traffic times.
The change in levels is not a cause for concern and is in response to national military activity spokesman Pat Jones explains.
The five FPCON levels are: Normal, Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta, being the highest.
Military leaders say if you see any suspicious activities in or near the base to call the military police at 803-751-3113.
