Four arrested in deadly Chapin shooting

LEXINGTON (WACH) " Lexington County Sheriff TMs Department detectives arrested four people in connection with the killing of a 50-year-old man who was shot and killed on October 21 at his home on Meadowlark Road near Chapin.

Investigators arrested Jasmine Bowers, 20, Tyrome Brennan, 19, Jermaine Caughman, 19, and Breon Mayers, 20. Bowers, Brennan, Caughman and Mayers each were arrested on charges of murder, first-degree burglary, armed robbery and possessing a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

According to detectives, Bowers, Brennan, Caughman and Mayers entered David Cannon TMs home with the intent to rob him, stealing marijuana and cash. Bowers, who is the niece of Cannon TMs live-in girlfriend, initially entered Cannon TMs home by herself. Bowers later signaled for Brennan, Caughman and Mayers, who were hiding in woods near Cannon TMs home, to enter the residence in order to rob Cannon of drugs and cash.

Cannon was shot twice in his upper torso and died at his home.
