RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WACH) - Four men have been arrested in connection with burglaries that occurred last week near Blythewood.
Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott says deputies repsonded to a burglary alarm on Rimer Pond Road and saw the front door of the home had been forced open.
Deputies received a tip of a suspicious person in a silver Chevrolet a few miles away on Miles Oak Lane, and eventually spotted the vehicle "driving at a high rate of speed on Grover Wilson and Langford Roads," said Lott. The vehicle was stopped by deputies who say stolen items were inside.
Electronics that were taken from two homes, one on NE Miles Road and one on Rimer Pond Road, were recovered by deputies.
Andre Cornelius, 40, is charged with driving under suspension, two counts of burglary and two counts of larceny. James Montgomery, 44, and Larry Alston, 18, are charged with two counts of burglary and two counts of larceny. Rolland Graves, 40, is charged with two counts of burglary, larceny, and receiving stolen goods.
Lott says the suspects could face additional charges as they may be responsible for a string of burglaries.
The three suspects were taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
