COLUMBIA (WACH) -- The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announced that four people were killed on South Carolina roadways during the Christmas Holiday Report Period, which started on Tuesday, December 24 at 6:00pm and concluded on Wednesday, December 25 at midnight. These crashes are still under investigation.
During the weekend period beginning Friday, December 27 at 6pm and Sunday, December 29 at midnight, two people were killed in crashes on South Carolina roadways.
734 people have died on South Carolina highways since as of December 29th. Through midnight on December 29, 89 pedestrians, 118 motorcyclists and 13 bicyclists have died on state roads and highways.
