While giving a speech in Austin, Texas, President Obama used the â??Iâ?? wordâ??impeachment. Obama mocked his critics from the GOP Party who have called for his impeachment. The Commander-In-Chief even mocked his critics saying â??You hear them say â??Sue him! Impeach him!â?? Youâ??re going to sue me for doing my job? â??House Speaker John Boehner saying he doesnâ??t support impeachment, but he does intent to sue the President.
Governor Nikki Haley has raised nearly $4.5 Million to spend in her re-election bid. Haleyâ??s campaign saying they raised more money in last quarter than any other. As of April first her Democratic opponent Vincent Sheheen had $1.7 Million available. The Gubernatorial candidates were to release their financial disclosures by midnight on Thursday.
Edward Snowden is looking to extend his stay in Russia. Snowden was granted temporary Asylum in Russia last August, and his year is just about up. Russian media outlets say that Snowden has formally requested an extension. The former NSA agent is wanted by the U.S. government after leaking secret information about spy programs.
The South Carolina Board of Education approved the nomination for Meka Childs. The former Deputy Superintendent will act as the COO of the John De La Howe School in McCormick. State Education Superintendent Mick Zais appointed Childs after she placed 6th in the Republican Primary.
The Columbia Urban League is hosting its second session of the Youth Development Academy. The closing ceremony will begin at 11am at Dent Middle School. The Urban League promotes a culture of high expectations, academic achievement, and how to make good decisions.
