Shaving it off for a cause

The 7 annual St. Baldrickâ??s event in Columbia is Saturday at Jillianâ??s in the Vista. As of this morning, 192 preregistrations of the 200 target have signed up to take the plunge and go extra high and tight. Walk-ups are welcome, and this morning even our producer Ryan got into the act. He his hair come off HERE.

Leaving no behind behind

As we continue in colon cancer awareness month, 2 great events to create awareness and raise money. First the inaugural Unbehind Gala, planned for the Barringer Building on Main Street, with food, music, drinks and more. Details for the event are HERE.

Buttâ?¦pardon the pun, we arenâ??t done. The Frye Foundation is sponsoring a 5K walk/run Saturday morning, also with the goal of raising money and awareness for the desise that strikes an American every 3 minutes.

Special care for those in need

A new transitional housing facility is opening up for women and children. Janet Parker sat down with Dr. Marcia Bailey and Gretchen Barron for the details and inspiration behind the new center.

The Junior Womanâ??s Club of Lexington is holding their 9 fashion show at the Country Club of Lexington, supporting local womenâ??s and childrenâ??s charities. With entertainment, food, and fun there is a ton of fun on tap. Check out the details HERE.

Miss South Carolina Ali Rogers, Miss South Carolina Teen Syndney Sill, and Miss Americaâ??s Outstanding Teen, Rachel Wyatt joined us to talk about the Queen for a Day event at the Convention Center Saturday.
