With the fall comes more than enough wonderful things to do outside, inside, and with the family. Here are a couple of events to can take part of over the weekend:
The Alston Wilkes Society Veterans Car and Bike Show
The Alston Wilkes Society is presenting a Veterans Car and Bike show, supporting their inititive to service homeless veterans. The show will be at the Richland County American Legion Post 6, located at 200 Pickens Street. If you have a car or bike you want to show off, the fee is $20. General admission is $5, with proceeds going to support the mission of the AWS.

The Columbia Freedom Festival
Jim Sonefeld, one of the founding members of Hootie and the Blowfish, joined us to talk about the Columbia Freedom Festival. Cherie Nettles, an Ovarian Cancer survivor, joined us to educate women of the symptoms of the disease. September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month and the Ovarian Cancer Coalition of Central South Carolina have planned a butterfly release to raise awareness and remember those affected.
