Haley issues executive order on state agencies

Governor Nikki Haley issued an executive order Monday requiring all state agencies to provide a complete list of all their inventory.

Haley is working with the Budget and Control Board to figure out how to streamline that inventory so money is not being wasted.

One of the most important focuses will be on finding out exactly what buildings are owned by each agency so the State can then determine if there are ways to consolidate.

"When you look at all the money that's being spent in leases, why are we not in our own State owned property as opposed to leased properties? I think we're going to get a lot of solutions out of this. I think we're going to find out a lot of information that's going to allow us to be a more efficient state." says Haley.

All the agencies have until December 15th to provide their lists.
