Haley meeting with constituents in Myrtle Beach

Gov. Nikki Haley

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) -- South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley is holding one-on-one meetings with residents in Myrtle Beach.

Haley is scheduled to meet with constituents Monday morning at the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce.

Those who wanted time with the Republican governor needed to make appointments on Friday.

Appointments are set on a first-come, first-served basis. Haley says she'll discuss any issue.

Haley has held constituent meetings across the state since becoming governor in January 2011. The meetings continue a tradition started by her predecessor, former-governor-turned-congressman Mark Sanford.
