COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Gov. Nikki Haley is scheduled to meet later this week with trustees from South Carolina State University.
Friday's meeting will be at the Statehouse complex.
Haley spokesman Rob Godfrey says the governor wants to talk to trustees about how she can help the historically black university.
South Carolina State University is facing budget problems as enrollment at the school in Orangeburg declines. Former trustee Jonathan Pinson is facing federal kickback charges after authorities say he took money and gifts to push through a land sale.
