COLUMBIA (WACH) -South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley announces merging state agencies to save money.
Haley says she made her ninth cabinet appointment Friday morning at the Department of Mental Health because the alcohol agency is moving into the mental health building.
This move will allow two state agencies with similar missions to better serve our citizens and save taxpayers approximately $700,000 over the next four years.
"If we can save $700,000 today, what can we do if we start merging other agencies," Haley said during her cabinet announcement Friday morning.
