      Highway Patrol releases video of Lexington County hit and run

      The Highway Patrol needs your help in finding the person accused of hitting Dustin McDonald while he was driving his moped on Platt Springs Road.

      WEST COLUMBIA, SC (WACH)- The Highway Patrol needs your help in finding the person accused of hitting the driver of a moped.

      According to Trooper Brent Kelly, on June 12 at about 9 p.m. a dark colored SUV struck Dustin McDonald as he was driving a moped on Platt Springs Road. McDonaldwas seriously injured and remains in the hospital.

      Kelly said the surveillance cameras from a convenience store on Platts Spring Road. showsMcDonald's moped being struck. Anyone with information can call, text or submit online, their anonymous tip to Crimestoppers in any of the following ways:
