COLUMBIA, SC (WACH)--Sunday was a gorgeous day to take moms out for Mother's Day; and one organization took advantage of it.
The Historic Columbia Foundation thanked Midlands moms by treating them to brunch inside and outside of the Seibels House and Garden; Columbia's oldest home.
The brunch included smoked salmon, pastries, salads, and breakfast items; along with a scenic view of gardens in bloom.
"I knew the gardens would be beautiful this time of year, and thought it would be something my mom would enjoy," CHF Member Monnie Murray said. "We have done several other events together and so we decided to do this together."
"It has been very, very delightful," Murray's mother Sherry Davis said. "The gardens are in bloom and beautiful." The food has been very good."
After brunch, visitors also got to stroll through the gardens and tour historic house museums.
