International security experts speak at Citadel

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- Two experts in international security will speak to cadets at The Citadel this week.

Undersecretary of state for arms control and international security Ellen Tauscher discusses current issues in arms control on Monday.

She is a former six-term congresswoman from California and now manages global national security policy in such areas as arms control and arms transfers.

On Thursday, cadets hear from John Gastright, the vice president for government affairs at DynCorp, a company that provides support services for the nation's national security and foreign policy operations.

He's a 1987 Citadel graduate and once served as projects director for the late U.S. Sen. Strom Thurmond.
