KERSHAW COUNTY (WACH) -- In a press conference Saturday morning, Kershaw County Sheriff Jim Matthews says he's 100% confident Stephen Kelly killed Briana Rabon.
Matthews says Kelly has admitted to being with Rabon the night she was killed and investigators "found considerable evidence inside 21 year-old Kelly's car".
Matthews held a press conference Saturday to release new details about Kelly's arrest, such as what exactly he will be charged with.
"Mr. Kelly will be charged with murder, kidnapping, and criminal sexual conduct in the first degree." says Matthews.
And it turns out this isn't the first time Kelly has been arrested.
"We had arrested him last year for criminal domestic violence. He beat up his girlfriend. And he was also arrested for burglarizing a home and stealing somebody's truck." explains Matthews.
Matthews is so sure Kelly killed Briana, he plans on attending Kelly's bond hearing.
"I will be present at his bond hearing and I will ask the judge to deny him bond." vows Matthews.
Matthews is also urging members of the community to be present at the bond hearing if possible to show a united front.
Matthews says 18 year-old Briana Rabon's body was found a half mile from Kelly's house. Sheriff Matthews says surveillance video from a gas station helped lead deputies to Kelly.
