COLUMBIA (WACH) - The last serving Vietnam War veteran in the South Carolina National Guard has officially retired.
Chief Warrant Officer Eric Seymore has his retirement ceremony today after 43 years of service.
He is a helicopter pilot who began his career in 1970.
But above his numerous awards and accolades, Seymore says his proudest moment was having both his sons serve in the military as well.
"It makes me and my wife very proud. Especially to have been able to fly with both my sons, including my eldest son who was my co-pilot on my final flight." says Seymore.
Seymore and his wife, Peggy, reside in easley.
