      Lattimore's mom to speak at breakfast benefiting Palmetto Center for Women

      COLUMBIA (WACH) - If you want to hear from the woman who turned Marcus Lattimore into the man he is, Thursday you'll have you have your chance.

      Lattimore's mom, Yolanda Smith, is speaking at a prayer breakfast benefiting the Palmetto Center for Women. The event begins at 7:30 Thursday morning. The Palmetto Center for Women is an outreach branch of the YMCA of Columbia that provides programs and services to women and girls in the Midlands.

      Lattimore is the all-time touchdown leader at the University of South Carolina and was drafted by the San Francisco 49er's.

      Smith will talk about how she overcame homelessness and adversity in her life. Her stories will inspire and bring out lots of emotions to people who drop by the testimony to hear her message.
