Officers with the Lexington County Multi-Agency Narcotics Enforcement Team seized two meth labs and arrested four people in connection with the crime. They are 50 year old Garrett Hutto and 49 year old Marla Huttoof Leesville, 53 year old Wayne McGee of Lexington and 53 year old William Luke of Lexington.
Just before 8:30 Friday evening, NET officers went to McGeeâ??s home on Pine Drive in Lexington in order to investigate a CrimeStoppers tip that a methamphetamine laboratory was being operated. Officers executed a search warrant at McGeeâ??s home and found a meth lab in operation. While officers were there, they detected a chemical odor emanating from a nearby home that they recognized as methamphetamine as well. About 45 minutes later officers went to that residence and found one reaction vessel, two scales, and one small plastic container on Lukeâ??s person that contained several grams of marijuana.Officers dismantled and properly disposed of the meth lab.
Garrett Hutto is charged with third-offense manufacturing methamphetamine, third-offense possession of methamphetamine and unlawfully altering pseudoephedrine. He was being held at the Lexington County Detention Center on bail totaling $100,000.
Marla Hutto is charged withthird-offense manufacturing methamphetamine, second-offense possession of a controlled substance and unlawfully altering pseudoephedrine. She was being held at the county Detention Center on bail totaling $95,000.
Wayne McGee is charged with third-offense manufacturing methamphetamine, third-offense possession of methamphetamine and second-offense unlawfully altering pseudoephedrine. He
was being held at the county Detention Center on bail totaling $110,000.
William Luke is charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possessing methamphetamine, unlawfully altering pseudoephedrine, improperly disposing of waste from a methamphetamine laboratory and simple possession of marijuana. He was being held at the county Detention Center on bail totaling $55,620.
