Man beat and robbed at gun point in Shandon

COLUMBIA (WACH) - Columbia Police are looking for two suspects accused of robbing, beating and holding a man at gun point near Five Points Sunday morning.

According to the Columbia Police Department, a male victim says he was walking to his car around 1 a.m. Sunday on the 500 block of Woodrow Street when two people got out of a car and walked up to him. One suspect is accused of pulling out a gun handgun, the other an "edged weapon."

The suspects then demaned money from the victim.

The victim says he gave them his cell phone and ATM card. The victim says the suspects then hit him several times in his face, causing bruising. The victim did not give a detailed description of the suspects.

Columbia Police say this incident is part of an ongoing investigation.
