WALHALLA, S.C. (AP) -- A man whom students at several college campuses were warned to look out for has turned himself in to authorities.
Oconee County deputies say the 23-year-old man was wanted on two counts of forgery and threatened to kill himself, harm others and kill people on a college campus before he could be arrested again.
The threat prompted Clemson University to send out a campus wide alert Thursday for students to look for the person. The police chief says the man didn't make a specific threat against Clemson, but the alert was issued in an abundance of caution.
Deputies say the man turned himself in without incident Friday morning and the alerts were dropped at Clemson and other schools in the area.
