      Man sought in New Year's stabbing

      Richland County deputies are searching for a Hispanic male after four people were stabbed at a gathering in Northeast Columbia last night

      COLUMBIA (WACH) - Richland County deputies are searching for a Hispanic male after four people were stabbed at a gathering in Northeast Columbia last night.

      According to Deputy Curtis Wilson with the Richland County Sheriff's Department, two men began a verbal altercation outside of a gathering on Alpine Road. One of the men pulled a knife and stabbed the other. Three other men joined in the fight. The subject with the knife stabbed all three of them as well.

      As of 12:15 P. M. there was no word on the condition of the victims. All four were taken to Palmetto Health Richland for their wounds.
