MYRTLE BEACH (WPDE/WACH) -- Myrtle Beach police are asking for the public's help in locating David Dennis who is wanted for Unlawfully Carrying of a Handgun.
According to a release from the Myrtle Beach Police Department, Dennis is wanted in reference to a gun that was left in the toy aisle of a local Target on May 30.
A police report said that a loss prevention officer was watching the store surveillance cameras and noticed someone acting suspicious in the toy aisle.
When the officer went to the toy aisle to investigate further, he found what he thought was a toy gun in plain view in a toy box on the shelf.
He soon realized it was a real gun, loaded with live ammunition, and called police.
Police ask that you contact the Myrtle Beach Police Department if you see Dennis or know where he might be.
