COLUMBIA (WACH) - A man wanted in connection with a Vista shooting has been arrested.
Columbia Police Chief William Holbrook said 24 year-old Nicholas Dickerson was arrested shortly before 7:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Holbrook said Dickerson was arrested in West Columbia by CPD and the United States Marshal??s Service.
Dickerson is accused of firing a handgun into a crowd of people while at 1231 Lincoln Street in the early hours of June 1, 2014.
Investigators believe the shooting stemmed from an altercation at a nearby business.
Columbia Police have collected evidence and located property damage in connection with the shooting, but no victims were identified at the time of the shooting.
Dickerson is charged with Breach of Peace - High and Aggravated in Nature, Unlawful Carrying of a Pistol and Discharging a Firearm in the City Limits.
