McLeese stepping down from role with Columbia Chamber of Commerce

The Columbia Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Ike McLeese is stepping down from his role with the organization.

McLeese has been with the Chamber for 20 years and will officially leave at the end of this year.

McLeese suffered a mild heart attack last month and announced he would be stepping away from his duties for up to 6 weeks.

McLeese may be best known for his active role in protecting the Midlands' military bases from potential US Defense Department closures.
