WEST COLUMBIA (WACH)??2 people from Lexington have been charged with operating a methamphetamine laboratory in a hotel room.
According to the Lexington County Sheriff??s Department, 37-year-old Christy Ann Gable and 52-year-old Earnest Charles Lake were the target of the Multi-Agency Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET) investigation.
The agency reported that about 9:12 p.m. on Tuesday, investigators went to the Executive Inn on Harbor Drive near West Columbia, investigating a report of a clandestine methamphetamine lab that was bring operated out of a room at the motel.
Officers were able to determine that Gable and Lake where manufacturing the drug, and had ingested meth while in the room. They were both arrested at the motel.
The lab was dismantled and disposed of by investigators.
