Meth lab arrest, second suspect still wanted


ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WACH)-- The Orangeburg County Sheriff's Department has arrested a Cordova man in connection with a meth lab but officers are still searching for a second suspect.

"Officers were informed that 2 men were cooking meth at a home on Alexis road" said Sheriff Ravenell. "When officers arrived on the scene they were allowed inside the home to search for one of the subjects."

According to Ravenell when Investigators arrived at the home on Alexis Road they detected a strong odor and found items used to manufacture methamphetamine in the home.

Gerald Thomas was at home at the time of the search and was taken into custody for outstanding warrants.

When investigators questioned Thomas about the meth items they discovered he said that he was not sure.

"Thomas requested that the officers retrieve a pack of cigarettes from a bedroom inside the home so that he could smoke" said Ravenell. "Inside the cigarette pack, officers located a blue zip lock bag containing a substance believed to be meth."

Police are still looking for Shelley Faulling a second suspect wanted for cooking meth.
