More than $10,000 in electronics stolen from Midlands high school

RICHLAND COUNTY (WACH) - Authorities say more than than $10,000 in electronics was stolen from a Midlands high school early last Saturday.

Sheriff Leon Lott says deputies are working to identify suspects who took electronics, including digital cameras, video cameras and computers, from the Richland Northeast High School media center on March 23 around 2:30 a.m.

Video surveillance equipment captured images of the suspects.

The incident report describes the suspects as two black males wearing masks.

The report states one suspect "used some kind of a key to gain access" to the media center.

Sheriff Leon Lott is asking for assistance in identifying the suspects responsible; to receive up to $1000 for information leading to the arrest of the person(s) responsible, please call or text an anonymous tip to CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
