Motorcycle, SUV crash on Hwy 378 kills Lexington man

Man dies after being hit by car while on motorcycle

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WACH)-- The Lexington County Coroner has identified the individual who died after a collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV occurred Saturday night.

According to Coroner Margaret Fisher, 31-year-old Timothy W. Browning of Lexington was traveling toward West Columbia on U.S. 378 on his motorcycle around 7 p.m. Saturday. An SUV turned left in front of him toward Cromer Road causing Browning's motorcycle to strike the side of the SUV.

Browning was not wearing a helmet when the collision occurred. He was transported to an area hospital where he later died due to injuries he sustained in the accident.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate this incident.
