COLUMBIA (WACH)-Bluegrass, barbecue and folk art will be the order of the day as the State Museum celebrates its annual Fall Heritage Festival & Pickin Party.
The outdoor festival will include award-winning barbecue from across South Carolina, including Midlands mustard-based barbecue from James Hayes, Pee Dee light tomato-based barbecue from Buddy Rogers of Marion, Cheerwine sauce barbecue from Frank Collins of Mt. Pleasant and vinegar and pepper flavored barbeque of the Pee Dee.
"Its not target towards just one person, its for the whole family, all different types of people in columbia and the midlands and across the state, so if folks are coming into town, you've got out of town guests, bring them by," said Anna Kate Twitty, public relationss manager, S.C. State Museum.
All outdoor activities are free to the public, except for food, beverages and craft purchases.
