Names released from deadly Chester County wreck

Authorities have released the names of three men who died after the car they were in ran off a road in Chester County and hit a tree.

CHESTER, S.C. (AP) -- Authorities have released the names of three men who died after the car they were in ran off a road in Chester County and hit a tree.

Chester County Coroner Terry Tinker says 43-year-old Gregory Bernard McCrorey of Chester and his two passengers, 53-year-old James Suber and 56-year-old James Robert Crane, were pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck Monday.

Tinker says all three men were likely wearing seatbelts and died from head and chest injuries.

The Highway Patrol says McCrorey's car appeared to be speeding just before noon when the wreck happened.

Authorities say debris from the car struck a passing school bus, but no one on the bus was hurt.
