Nineteen-year-old accused of stabbing two Five Points bar workers

Hale charged with assault after stabbing victim in Five Points

COLUMBIA (WACH)- Columbia Police have charged a nineteen-year-old man with assault after they say he ambushed two bar workers after hours at a bar in Five Points.

Officer Jim Crawford with the Columbia Police Department said Barry Hale hid inside Sharky's on Harden Street in Five Points. At about 1:45 a.m. Tuesday, Hunter attacked two employees after the bar was closed.

One of the victims was cut in the lower abdomen and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The other victim had cuts to his clothes.

When WACH Fox news called Sharky's for comment, they referred us to the Five Points Association, which was closed at the time of our call.

Hale is charged with Assault 1st Degree, Assault 2nd degree and Possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
