Columbia, S.C. (WACH) - Many of us would love to be at Williams-Brice stadium Thursday night when the Gamecocks face off against the Tarheels. But if you weren't able to find a ticket, it doesn't mean you have to miss out on all the excitement.
With so many restaurants and bars to choose from in Columbia, you are sure to find one where you can grab a bite to eat and catch the game.
One option is the Thirsty Fellow, which is right near the Coliseum. Since it's right next to a shuttle stop, it's a convenient location for groups who don't all have the same plans.
"You could have a family of four and maybe dad and the son want to be at the stadium in that atmosphere. So they'll come here and park in the parking lot across the street and the father and son will take the shuttle to the ball game and enjoy the live action. And maybe the mother and daughter will just come over here." says Willy from Thirsty Fellow.
And there is another additional perk.
"You can come here, we're surrounded by parking. We have our own lot and then we rent 65 spaces right next to the building. So there's plenty of parking." states Willy.
Or if you want to hang out in the Vista, the Wild Hare is already gearing up for game day.
"We are so excited for football season. We've been waiting all summer for it. Go gamecocks!." exclaims Austin and Chris from the Wild Hare.
And whatever you're looking for in a game day location, as long as you're with fellow Gamecocks, it's sure to be a great time.
