      Orangeburg deputies seek missing Santee man

      Authorities say Sanjeev Verma, 26, was reported missing Monday night around 10 p.m.

      SANTEE, SC (WACH)?? The Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office is looking for a missing Santee man.

      Authorities say Sanjeev Verma, 26, was reported missing Monday night around 10 p.m. Verma's wife said she last spoke with her husband around 6:45 p.m. when he notified her he was heading to speak with a local magistrate.

      A spokesperson with the Orangeburg County Sheriff's office said the investigators said Verma never made contact with the magistrate.

      "At this point, we can not rule out anything. Sanjeev is a husband and father. We want to be able to locate him and ease the minds of his family members that he is safe," said Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell.

      Orangeburg County has been working with several law enforcement agencies to locate Verma. Verma is described as being 5 feet 4 inches tall. Officers say he was was last seen wearing a brown and white jacket, white and black Aeorpostle shirt, light blue jeans and white sneakers.

      Police found Verma??s car, a gray 2007 Nissan Sentra, Tuesday morning on Cleveland Street in Elloree.
