Columbia (WACH)" Kenny Chesney wasn TMt going to let a broken foot slow him down the last time he visited Columbia and he hopes his latest stop goes a little better.
Chesney TMs latest tour, dubbed the Goin TM Coastal Tour , makes a stop in Columbia tonight, at the Colonial Life Arena.
The last time Kenny Chesney visited Columbia in April 2008, he played a nearly sold-out show in Columbia at Williams-Brice Stadium. Chesney was in the middle of his Poets and Pirates tour, along with Luke Bryan , Gary Allan , LeAnn Rimes and Brooks and Dunn . As Chesney was elevated through the stage, his boot got caught , crushing his foot.
After what seemed to be an eternity to many fans, and probably Chesney himself, he was able to free his foot, and after a brief recovery time, he stood up, and put on a two hour performance for fans. Although he limped through most of the show, he assured his fans not only was he ok, but the show would go on, saying I TMm not going to let something like a broke foot stand in the way.
The show went on for Chesney, who continued his tour, which included twelve other stadium shows .
Chesney TMs latest album, Hemingway TMs Whiskey was released in 2010, and has already produced three number one hits. This marks the sixth time Chesney has come to the arena, playing to sold out audiences each time. The parking lots around the arena open at 10am for tailgating and for those eager to pass the time until the show.
