BLUFFTON, S.C. (AP) -- Police say no one has been hurt after a 17-year-old Bluffton High School student came to school with knives, a loaded gun, gasoline and a lighter.
Authorities say a teacher noticed the student was acting strangely and pulled him aside. School officials called police after the senior told police he had several weapons.
The school was locked down, with students staying in class with the lights off while investigators searched the building and students.
The student is charged as an adult with carrying a weapon on school property, unlawful carrying of a firearm and disturbing schools. He is being held in jail at least until a bond hearing Thursday. It wasn't known if he had a lawyer.
