Police looking for second suspect in the kidnapping of an elderly Columbia couple

COLUMBIA (WACH) - Columbia Police need help from citizens in searching for a suspect in the kidnapping and robbery of an elderly couple last week.
Donald Javonte Smith, 21, of Meyers Street is wanted by police after a couple in their 80's say they were beaten and robbed by two men in their North Columbia home on May 10. The female victim says she tried to fight off the suspects with her cane.
The suspects fought back by hitting the woman in the head leaving a cut.
According to the incident report, the suspects are accused of pointing guns at the couple and saying "get down on the ground or die." Several items including a wallet, purse, electronics, jewelry and guns were taken from the home. Some of the items were recovered and taken into evidence.
John Brandon Foster, 19, was arrested last week at the Reserve Apartments on Hardscrabble Road as a suspect in this crime.
Authorities with the Columbia Police Department say Foster is charged with three counts of burglary second degree, burglary first degree, kidnapping and two counts of larceny.
