Police searching for suspects in hotel robberies

Officials are investigating three connected armed hotel robberies in the Midlands.

Columbia Police and the Lexington County Sheriff's Department say the crimes were committed by the same suspects between June 8 and 11.

The robberies occurred at the Courtyard Marriott on Zimalcrest Drive, the Best Western at 240 East Exchange and the Holiday Inn Express on Clemson Frontage Road.

Investigators say each incident played out the same, with the suspects asking about room rates at the front desk then pulling out a handgun and demanding money.

Two incidents involved three suspects, while four were involved in the other. All four suspects are black males in their late teens to mid 20's.

Surveillance video from the most recent robbery shows the suspects' getaway vehicle, a green and tan Chevy Silverado with a toolbox and running bars.
