Police still searching for men involved in apartment shootout

COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Surveillance video from the Columbia Police Department shows people hiding behind buildings and a person jumping around with what appears to be a gun, just feet from people's homes.

In one of those homes a 4-year-old girl was watching T-V when she was critically injured by one of the bullets from that shootout.

"It hits you like dang that could've been somebody I know or it could've been my little one or my little sister," said one the neighbor.

"Very angry at the fact that individuals these street thugs would decide to such an act in broad daylight," said Interim Columbia Police Chief Ruben Santiago.

One neighbor tells wach fox that it sounded like 1,000 bullets flying outside his back door.

"You better get down a bullet don't have no name man... and see how a 4 year old got hit," said Simmons.
