Police: Upstate Woman Traded Daughter For Drugs
Fri, 04 Feb 2011 14:50:45 GMT — MAULDIN (WHNS, WACH) -- An Upstate woman is behind bars accused of trading sex with her 16-year-old daughter in exchange for drugs, according to Mauldin police. Police say Kathleen Bunnell, 39, of Mauldin, was arrested Thursday and charged with prostitution of a minor, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and unlawful neglect of a child.
Investigators say Bunnell's daughter was drugged with a shot in the neck, and Bunnel then left her daughter with a drug dealer for hours.
The girl is now in the custody of the Department of Social Services, police said.
