Politicians come to Chapin for Labor Day parade

CHAPIN, S.C. (AP) -- Chapin is getting ready for its annual Labor Day parade and an influx of politicians who kick off their fall campaigns at the event.

The parade starts at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the town in northern Lexington County.

The parade has been a traditional stop for politicians with just over two months left before the general election.

Town officials say the parade will also include a classic car show and a children's carnival.
