Portion of Wilson Boulevard reopens following 2015 flood
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WACH)-- Life just got a little easier for commuters in Blythewood.
More than two years after the historic 2015 flood a portion of Wilson Boulevard has reopened.
A section of the road, also known as U.S. Highway 21, was closed down since October 2015.
A dam that runs beneath the highway broke during the flood causing nearly 8,000 drivers a day to have to use detours until the road way fixed.
