The president of Providence Hospitals is planning to retire.

George Zara has been leading Providence Hospitals since 2008 and plans to wrap his career next month. Zara says "It has been an honor and privilege to work with the thousands of talented employees and health care professionals of Providence Hospitals. Every day, they are the hands that provide the highest quality health care in the state," said Zara. "I will always be a strong supporter and friend to this fine institution and its wonderful people." Zara??s last day will be February 14th and The Sisters of Charity Health System leadership and Providence board will develop plans for a search to select the next president and CEO of Providence Hospitals.
